EverQuest 2 Insider Guide-chapter005
Expect to make around 50silver – 2 gold an hour. Hunt the following:
Starting with 1g when leaving the Isle:
There is a camp with gnolls teasing some prisoners not to far out on the isle. You can not miss it. They are REALLY teasing them “nena nena”. Finish the quests you want and head here for your exp to 6 and 220% into the level. This camp seems to drop chests quite A LOT. Maybe that’s because you can kill them in 3 or 4 hits. Also the chest table is small. VERY small: One sceptre that sells for over a silver. You will find a lot of those before you hit your experience cap.
Gnoll Tormentors:
These frequently drop adept spells that you can sell for players for 30silver-1gold. They spawn at the gnoll camp in front of Blackburrow.
Rock Giants:
Same story as the gnolls, not only do they drop merchant loot but they also frequently drop Adept spells which once again can be sold for a premium.
Blight fangs:
These are what you should be killing at level 20. They drop adept spells very, very often and drop merchant loot almost always. They are the cash cows at this level
13.4. Levels 20-40
Money will start to flow in big time here. You should expect to make between 1gold- 10gold an hour. Hunt the following:
Fight along high-levels
Seek out players who are significantly higher level than you. This makes sense starting from level 20 onwards. By significantly higher I am talking about 5 levels. You will still get some decent experience, but even more important: You will be getting items that are meant for their levels when killing mobs that are up to 9 levels higher than you are. The increase in loot and cash rewards is exponentially higher C so whenever you get the chance, do it.
