Nightbloods/ Beach turtles:
Both of these frequently drop high level adept spells, which you can sell for really good money. There are quite a few you can solo effectively with small downtime so this makes for a great plat camping spot.
Orc Mystics/Blacksmiths/Miners:
These drop the most adept spells in the Orcish Wastes. They drop somewhat commonly and can drop Velium Torques which can sell for 2gp each. Nightbloods are better cash but if they’re camped, you should come here.
13.5. Levels 40-50
This is where your cash making abilities really start to shine. You can rake in some large amounts of money at these levels here is what you should hunt. At this level you will be making between 5gold-50platinum an hour. There is such a large difference in what you can make because it depends what you do, if you choose to sell the adept spells to
merchants you can expect 10gold a spell if you sell them to players expect at least 50gold a spell. Hunt the following:
Goblins/ Minotaur:
They drop adept spells and merchant loot most of the time.
Constructs of Thule/ Thule guardians:
Other then killing named you should kill; they drop adept spells and merchant loot.
Artic monitors, Valkyrie, and Artic Behemoths:
These are the super cash cows of EverQuest 2, especially the Artic monitors. They almost always drop level 50 adept spells that can be sold to either merchants or players for huge profits. You should hunt these without a doubt at this level.

The Uups Quest
This is an excellent quest since you can complete it as often as you like. You will need to be between level 20 and 26 and need 12 silver to get started. Go to the Academy in North Freeport and buy the book “The Uups Quest” from Sage Nevarius Orvalis. Inspect it to get started C you will be asked to kill several mobs in the Edgewater Drains I. You will require at least 2 other group members, but all players can complete the quest at the same time. The reward is easy to sell loot (1gp +).
Fallen Knights/ Defiled Tempests/ Stormlords/ ghoul cantines:
The reason these are so good for loot is because there are so many spawn spots for these mobs. They drop adept spells that go for 1gp-5gp as well as merchant loot. The Stormlords drop loot even more then the other three.
Deathbloom / Will o’Wisps:
These are nasty mobs to kill as they cast Ae spells a lot and if you get agro on more than one group of wisps at a time it’s serious trouble however. These drop Adept spells that go for 1gp-5gp and merchant loot and on some occasions nice caster boots.
Centaur Protector Spawn:
This spawn is located in a pit in a little cave past some centaurs at 119, -23, 60. This spawn tricks a lot of people because they never kill the trigger mob. It’s a single solo centaur, but as soon as you kill it 2 re-spawn. Kill them and watch another 4 re-spawn then 7 etc. After you kill a huge spawn of around 11 a named captain spawns. He will
drop a nice piece of loot each time including earrings, bracers, boots, wrist items and a few swords.
Named Tree:
Gul’thex Elite:
This is a named dragoon spawn that patrols the path leading up to the dragoon fort. They respawn every 5 minutes and drop 1 piece of great loot each time, such as dragoon daggers, 2 different staves, armguards and more. This is one of the best loot farming spots in the game. You should be farming these for loot at this level.

Expect to make around 50silver – 2 gold an hour. Hunt the following:
Starting with 1g when leaving the Isle:
There is a camp with gnolls teasing some prisoners not to far out on the isle. You can not miss it. They are REALLY teasing them “nena nena”. Finish the quests you want and head here for your exp to 6 and 220% into the level. This camp seems to drop chests quite A LOT. Maybe that’s because you can kill them in 3 or 4 hits. Also the chest table is small. VERY small: One sceptre that sells for over a silver. You will find a lot of those before you hit your experience cap.
Gnoll Tormentors:
These frequently drop adept spells that you can sell for players for 30silver-1gold. They spawn at the gnoll camp in front of Blackburrow.
Rock Giants:
Same story as the gnolls, not only do they drop merchant loot but they also frequently drop Adept spells which once again can be sold for a premium.
Blight fangs:
These are what you should be killing at level 20. They drop adept spells very, very often and drop merchant loot almost always. They are the cash cows at this level
13.4. Levels 20-40
Money will start to flow in big time here. You should expect to make between 1gold- 10gold an hour. Hunt the following:
Fight along high-levels
Seek out players who are significantly higher level than you. This makes sense starting from level 20 onwards. By significantly higher I am talking about 5 levels. You will still get some decent experience, but even more important: You will be getting items that are meant for their levels when killing mobs that are up to 9 levels higher than you are. The increase in loot and cash rewards is exponentially higher C so whenever you get the chance, do it.

“Tiers” refer to the level range of a zone, where tier 1 refers to levels 0-10, tier 5 to levels 40-50.
It would be fairly hard to give estimates on any given “?” loot value since these have a “no-value” flag and value to adventurers vary (I will explain shortly). However “?” loot will range anywhere from a few cps/gps (tier-1 to tier-3) to a few sps/gps (tier-4 to tier-5).
Why “?” loot value vary
As we explained previously, “?” loot can be spiders, ants, bones, shards, etc. and these items are used for completing “Collection” quests. When all the items for a particular quest are found (e.g. finding all the striped spiders), the quest will update and ask you to find a Mervos Stadrin (360, -60) in North Qeynos or Renny Parvat (-280, 100) in East Freeport. Upon talking to Mervos/Renny, your quest will complete, giving you an item, some money, and experience. Now the money reward varies (e.g. cp-gps) but exps and the quest reward can actually be fairly valuable. As a result, folks will want to acquire (buy or harvest “?” nodes) for 3-main reasons:
Completing a quest: Some adventurers feel compelled to complete all quests in
their quest book and the particular “?” loot you’re selling might complete their quest. Completing a collection quest will always yield a monetary reward anywhere from a few sps (tier-1 to tier-3) to sps/gps (tier-4 to tier-5).
Obtaining the “?” Loot reward: Some collection quests have very nice reward
items. These items can be used by the adventurer or sold for some money
ranging from a few cps to a few gps. For example, the Collection of Glowing Orbs Necklace sells 5gp to the NPC broker.
Getting Experience: All collection quests will yield experience upon completion,
can be completed by any level adventurer, and therefore the amount of money they would pay for a particular “?” loot could be great. Quite literally, you could instantly take your adventurer from level-1 to level-20 if you had enough collection quests (”instant” leveling). Although, it would be quite expensive to level this way and against the overall topic of this guide (i.e. to make money, not to spend money for exps).
Farming “?” in dungeons
Unlike “?” nodes that are found outside, the “?” in dungeons can spawn periodically at certain spots. Almost all dungeons I have adventured had a handful of these “special” spots and the spawn times were roughly a few minutes (i.e. at least 5-minutes). It’s also quite typical that you’ll see some adventures “hanging” around these areas just to “farm” these “?” nodes. Here’s a list of a few of those locations (I have found):
“?” Locations in Dungeons
Dungeon Name Location Name Location Coordinates

If you were lucky and bought the limited edition of the game you made an excellent deal. On amazon you only had to pay an additional $5 and you got some in-game goodies with that. How does that relate to making money? Simple answer: The baby dragon. This thing is worth between 50gp and open end, depending on your server. If you are really in need of cash: sell it.
13.2. “?” Nodes
The information about “?” nodes is being provided by Jay Smith. You can find out more about the author and his works here: http:///authors/jay-smith.htm
Throughout the world of Norrath, you will come across “?” nodes in almost every zone in the game (except for cities and some special instances). They are abundant in the outdoors and dungeons alike. Typical items that can be harvested from a “?” node:

Go back and talk to Matthias. A message runner should spawn nearby, head over to him and speak to him. Next return to Matthias and speak to him again.
Next head over to the docks in the Commonlands and talk to the cargo master, after talking to him and killing him head back to Matthias.
Next you are told to kill Arthus Kasyn. You can find him at the human settlement near the crossroads, dispatch of him then go back to Matthius.
Now you have to go kill Grandma Twirlwhizzer who also lives at the crossroads. Run over there and kill her then come back and talk to Matthius again.
Stalker Granis can be located in the same location. Head back over to the cross-roads and kill the ranger. Once again head back to Matthius.
You’re told to kill War Duke Gesarius next. He can be located near the Nektulous Griffon tower heading towards the stone giants. This is the last step. Congratulations.
13. Making Gold and Platinum in EverQuest 2
What’s the best way to fill those pockets with gold and platinum? Well unlike some games there are very few trick spawns. There are some but most of your coin will be made knowing what mobs to kill for merchant loot and adept spells. You should know that in EverQuest 2 you can’t go back and farm lower level monsters because when they /con grey they will no longer drop loot. Unlike EverQuest with huge complicated tactics EverQuest 2 takes a much simpler approach: Go find the spawn and kill it. There are literally no unique strategies or tactics.
